Vaibhav Sooryavanshiwon't be sitting in his 10th-grade exam, scheduled to be held from February 17 to March 11. Sooryavanshi, who studies at thePodar International Schoolin Bihar's Samastipur, recently completed all the formalities and received his admit card. "Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will appear for the Class 10 board examinations at our school. We will ensure that he does not face any difficulty while appearing for the exams," his school's principal said recently. However, Sooryavanshi is not in Bihar.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Vaibhav's coach Manish Ojha revealed that the left-handed batter is in Nagpur to prepare for IPL 2026. Hence, he will be missing his exams. "He won't be giving the Class X exams. He is currently in Nagpur, preparing for the upcoming IPL. He has already joined the Rajasthan Royals for a pre-season camp," Ojha said.

Sooryavanshi has an IPL contract worth Rs 1.10 crore with Rajasthan Royals (RR). He joined the Rajasthan-based franchise for this amount in the IPL 2025 mega-auction.

Sooryavanshi made his much-awaited IPL debut during IPL 2025 and finished the season with 252 runs in 7 matches. Battling with a strike rate of 206.55, Sooryavanshi hit 24 sixes and 18 fours in his knock.

Sooryavanshi became the youngest IPL debutant and centurion during the season. He will be RR's first choice opener in IPL 2026 and looks set to play in every game.

Sooryavanshi plays aggressive cricket irrespective of the format and has been hogging the limelight since IPL 2025. The 14-year-old has scored 353 runs in List A cricket with a strike rate of 164.95. He has scored 701 T20 runs with a strike rate of 204.37. His tally includes 3 centuries.

VaibhavSooryavanshiwas part of the Ayush Mhatre-led India U19 cricket team which lifted the junior World Cup with a win over England in the final. Sooryavanshi played his biggest knock in the final and smashed 175 off just 80 balls.

Courtesy of his knock, India U19 put on a big total of 411/9 on the board. England were bowled out for 311, thus losing the game by 100 runs. Sooryavanshi was bestowed with the Player of the Final award.
