Data from outage-tracking platform Downdetector shows a spike in complaints, as users flagged problems ranging from login failures to timelines not updating. Most of the reported issues appear tied to the mobile app, though some users also said the desktop site was slow or inaccessible.
Outages were reported most heavily in the United States and parts of India, where users flagged issues logging in, posting, and refreshing timelines, as complaints surged on outage-tracking platforms.
Downdetector showed 67% users faced issues in logging in through the website, while 18% users are, at the time of writing this report, facing issues via App.
During recent disruptions, a majority of reports related to the app not working, while others flagged website access and server-connection issues. As of now, there is no official confirmation from X on the exact cause of the latest reported problems, and outages on the platform are often intermittent or regional.
