Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to pay a state visit to the US in September, the first in more than a decade, as the two powers seek stability amid their deepening rivalry.
The proposed trip, which Trump said could take place on September 24, would mark the first state visit by a Chinese leader to the US since September 2015.
