Tennessee Democrats are having meltdowns after Republicansapproveda new congressional map that could give the GOP a 9-0 sweep of the state’s House delegation.
The controversy centers on Memphis, where Tennessee’s majority-Black, Democrat-held 9th Congressional District has been split into three Republican-leaning districts.
Democrats responded with their usual playbook: scream racism, invoke Jim Crow, and pretend one political party has a constitutional right to own a congressional district forever.
During the latest episode ofThe Patriot Perspective, the hosts argued that Democrats are using race as a political shield because they cannot defend the map on normal partisan terms.
“They are acting very entitled, like they deserve a district because of their race,” one host said during the episode.
“You can divide Americans based on race. You can divide Americans based on gender. You can divide Americans based on religion, ethnicity, age, or even sexuality. You can divide Americans in any way you want. But what makes America great is that we don’t look at those factors. We look at Americans based on the fact that they are Americans.”

That is exactly the point Democrats do not want to confront. Redistricting is politics. Both parties do it.
Democrats have spent years defendingaggressively drawnmaps when those maps benefit them. But when Republicans target a safe Democrat seat, the left suddenly claims democracy itself is being dismantled.
