Arshdeep Singhwas brutally slammed by fans after an alleged racist remark on Mumbai Indians' (MI) Tilak Varma. In a video that went viral on social media, Arshdeep Singh was heard callingTilak Varma"Oye andhere" as the Mumbai Indians batter walked past him. The remark, which translates to "Hey, dark one," triggered outrage online, with netizens accusing Arshdeep of making a racist comment. Further in the video, Arshdeep pointed towards Naman Dhir and said in Punjabi, “Aa dekh, aa hai Punjab da asli noor, te aa hai nakli,” which means, 'Look, this is the real glow of Punjab, and this is fake.'

This is not the first time Arshdeep Singh has been accused of passing racist remarks on players. Last year, Ishan Kishan and Arshdeep Singh landed in controversy after allegedly hurling racist remarks towards Sai Sudharsan in a video uploaded on Snapchat. Arshdeep, who started the video, panned the camera to Kishan and said, 'Bihar ki aan baan shaan, Ishan Kishan.' After Kishan requested him to turn the camera towards Sai Sudharsan, the former was heard saying, 'Let's clean the camera lens. Where are the lips?'

It has been a season to forget for MI, who suffered defeat after defeat and became one of the first teams to get knocked out of IPL 2026.

PBKS, on the other hand, suffered their fifth consecutive defeat, and it has put their playoff qualification in jeopardy. The team won the first six games in style, but defeats in the next five have left the team reeling. They now need to win all their remaining games and hope a few results go their way to qualify for the playoffs.
