Two iconic LA food powerhouses are colliding in a butter-soaked culinary crossover.

BADMAASH, the Los Angeles-born Indian hospitality brand founded by brothers Nakul and Arjun Mahendro, teamed up with cult-favorite Prime Pizza to launch a limited-edition butter chicken pizza pie, blending BADMAASH’s signature butter chicken with mozzarella, bell peppers, pickled onions, and fresh parsley atop Prime’s New York-style slices.

The indulgent mashup dropped Thursday and will be available through Monday, May 25, at all Prime Pizza locations and on Uber Eats while supplies last.

“I love the butter chicken pizza because there’s truly nothing else like it. Heaven in a box,” Los Angeles resident Charlotte Medema, 22, told The California Post.

“Prime Pizza combined my two favorite foods, butter chicken and pizza, into one delicious bite. I’m excited to come back for seconds and thirds,” added Kaitlyn Baek, 23, who also lives in LA.

Fans eager to recreate the dish at home can also snag BADMAASH’s butter chicken sauce online for $18 per 24-oz jar. The tomato curry sauce, infused with cardamom and fenugreek, is touted by the restaurant as the “best butter chicken sauce you’ve ever had in your life.

The collaboration lands as BADMAASH continues its latest expansion with the debut of its Venice flagship at 1616 Abbot Kinney Blvd., marking what the brand calls its “most sophisticated, sensorial expression to date” after 13 years of reshaping perceptions of Indian cuisine in America.

“Venice has always felt like a natural extension of our brand,” BADMAASH CEO and co-founder Nakul Mahendro said. “It’s a place where creativity, culture, and food intersect, and we felt it was the right time to bring our illest concept here.”

The sleek new Venice outpost expands BADMAASH’s reach beyond its Downtown LA and Fairfax roots, offering elevated takes on cult staples like Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Poutine alongside new dishes such as Garlic Naan with garlic confit, Hamachi Crudo, Lamb Neck Korma, and the restaurant’s signature Steak Frites with “meat masala” au poivre.

BADMAASH’s Venice location also marks the first fully curated beverage program in the brand’s history, featuring inventive cocktails like the BADMAASH Dirty Martini, Mezcal Margarita, and Date Jam Cocktail.
