A recent video of Ghislaine Maxwell has caused quite a stir on social media afterwild theories related to her appearancestarted a conversation no one saw coming.

The footage, released by the House Oversight Committee, showed Maxwell appearing from prison as she repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment in response to questions about her association with Jeffrey Epstein and her trafficking conviction.

Within hours, screenshots circulated across social media. Side-by-side comparisons with pre-arrest photos followed, and the claim that the woman in the chair wasn't Maxwell at all sent the internet into a frenzy.

Several social media influencers or theorists pointed to what users described as 'massive differences' in her face. Some argued that her nose appeared wider or narrower; others claimed that her jawline appeared squarer, her eyes more hooded, and that her bone structure had altered.

A few viral posts went further, alleging the use of a body double, an AI-generated stand-in, or a broader cover-up tied to lingering conspiracy theories around Epstein.

On Reddit threads devoted to the Epstein case, users dissected camera angles and lighting, debating whether 'prison could really change someone's face that much.' Meanwhile, TikTok creators zoomed in on stills with dramatic overlays, asking viewers to 'spot the differences.'

However, none of the claims has been backed by evidence.

Maxwell, now 63, has been incarcerated since her July 2020 arrest and is serving a 20-year sentence following her 2021 conviction on federal sex trafficking charges.

At the time, her arrest and trial were largely documented by the American media. Additionally, court records andDepartment of Justicedocumentation confirm her custody status.
