Sixth-grade students at Floral Park-Bellerose School and John Lewis Childs School received a powerful firsthand account of the Holocaust and World War II from survivor Arnold Newfield during visits held on May 12. The presentations were organized by theHolocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County.

During the visits, Newfield shared his family’s experiences during the Holocaust and spoke about their journey to survival. Students also had the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions following his presentation.
