Rajpal Yadav Gets Bail In Cheque Bounce Case

Rajpal Yadav will remain out of Tihar Jail until March 18, when the court will next hear his case. The Delhi High Court made this order after he paid Rs 1.5 crore to the complainant in his long-running cheque-bounce case. The payment was a key condition for his temporary release. The court also noted that Rajpal Yadav's niece’s wedding on February 19 was a factor in granting the relief, allowing him time to attend the family event before the matter returns to court.

Earlier, Rajpal Yadav was asked to surrender for being a repeated defaulter. He had promised to make the payments to the complainant, Murli Projects Private Limited, as part of a settlement. However, it was not fulfilled. After multiple warnings, the Delhi High Court took strict action against him on February 2.

Last week, while hearing the bail please, Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma observed that Rajpal Yadav did not land in jail merely because the court passed an order. She remarked that he was incarcerated because he failed to comply with the settlement he had agreed to.
