A massive fire broke out at a local factory in Delhi’s Inderlok area on Monday (February 16). The flames quickly escalated, sending thick black smoke billowing into the sky and making the fire visible from a distance. Eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot after a call reporting the blaze was received at 11.37 am, an official of the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) said. The firefighters are still working to douse the flames, he said, adding that no one was injured in the incident.

Being a densely populated area, controlling the situation posed a major challenge for authorities. Firefighters prioritised preventing the blaze from spreading to nearby buildings while also ensuring that anyone trapped inside the factory was safely evacuated. Emergency teams worked swiftly to contain the fire and minimise damage in the crowded locality.
