Trump highlighted the presence of top US executives, including Elon Musk and Jensen Huang, saying they were there to “pay respects” to China.
The war in Iran was mentioned as one of the global issues on the agenda. Both sides agreed the Strait of Hormuz should remain a free waterway and that Iran should not develop nuclear weapons. China expressed interest in increasing purchases of US oil to reduce dependence on supplies traveling through the strait.
