Washington and Beijing will discuss the board to manage commercial ties

“Large Boeing orders” appear to be coming, US Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent told CNBC on Thursday, adding that China and the US will discuss establishing a new joint board of trade to manage commercial ties.

“I think we’re going to see the large Boeing orders,” Bessent said.

Meanwhile, Bessent said the two largest economies will form a board of trade.

“The idea would be for non-critical, non-strategic areas,” he said, pointing to fireworks as an example of such consumer goods that “we are never going to reshore”.
