Jaipur:The investigation into theNEET UG paper leakcase revealed shocking details about how a family from Jaipur was at the centre of the entire matter. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday arrested six people in conection with the case. Among the six arrested, three belonged to the same family from Rajasthan’s Jaipur. They have been identified as Mangilal Biwal, Vikas Biwal and Dinesh Biwal.

Sources told Times Now that the CBI, during its investigation, found that Mangilal Biwal and Dinesh are brothers. Meanwhile, Vikas Biwal is Dinesh's son and was preparing for NEET. He lives in Sikar.
The sources claimed that Dinesh Biwal had purchased the question paper on April 26-27 for approximately Rs 30 lakh. The CBI is investigating the claim. Later, they allegedly sold the same question paper (in soft-copy form) to other students in Sikar. The probe has further revealed that four members of their family have been selected in NEET over the past few years.

Meanwhile, the CBI has not officially confirmed the arrest of the sixth person, identified as Dhananjay Lokhande, from Maharashtra. He was produced in court by the CBI.
On Tuesday the National Testing Agency (NTA) cancelled the NEET-UG 2026 examination held on May 3 following allegations of a paper leak. Sources said the courier staffer allegedly enabled around 30 minutes of unauthorised access to the exam trunks. Investigators suspect the accused used portable high-definition scanners during this period to create digital copies of the question paper.

According to the CBI, the FIR includes charges related to criminal conspiracy, cheating, criminal breach of trust, and provisions under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Prevention of Corruption Act, and the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
