For the first time in its history, The North Patchogue Medford Youth Athletic Club (NPMYAC) will be hosting its District 36 Interleague Little League Tournament this Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17.

In a statement made by NPMYAC president Jennifer Frascogna, the club is hopeful that the tournament will be the first of many for the players and their community, with the dedicated support of the Cirigliano Agency aiding in its furtherance.

“Jennifer Frascogna was the one that approached me about putting this together, and she was integral in obviously reaching out to the other Little Leagues in the district and trying to put a date and tournaments together,” said Cirigliano Agency owner Mike Cirigliano. “The reason behind it is to give baseball players an opportunity to get that experience in a tournament-like atmosphere, especially ones who may or may not have the opportunity to play travel baseball.”

“They’re obviously from the local community here, Pat-Med alumni, and this event is happening in the Pat-Med community,” Cirigliano noted. “They gave the ultimate sacrifice, and this is just a way to continue to honor them as much as we can, and keep their spirits alive, and them involved in the community.”

Community members can also participate in the event by purchasing promotional opportunities, which have been split into two tiers: a Tier One Sponsorship, which comes with a custom lawn sign displayed at tournament fields and costs $150, and a Tier Two Sponsorship, which includes a dugout banner that will be featured during the tournament and costs $500.
