Gold prices in Delhi experienced a mixed session on Monday, February 16, 2026, with spot rates showing a decline amid ongoing fluctuations that have kept investors on edge following record highs in January. According to the All India Sarafa Association, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,58,500 per 10 grams, inclusive of taxes, reflecting a drop in the local bullion market.
Data from Goodreturns indicated that on the same day, 24-carat gold stood at Rs 15,774 per gram, 22-carat at Rs 14,459 per gram, and 18-carat at Rs 11,830 per gram across Indian markets. These per-gram rates underscore the pullback in domestic prices even as international spot gold remained elevated at $4,968.40 per ounce.
On the derivatives front, gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) were quoted at Rs 1,56,200 per 10 grams. This comes after gold had scaled an all-time high of Rs 1,80,779 per 10 grams in the futures segment on January 29, highlighting the volatility that has characterized the yellow metal's performance recently.
The Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) reported benchmark prices widely used by bullion traders and jewellers nationwide, listing 24-carat gold at Rs 1,52,765 per 10 grams on Monday morning. For different purities, 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,33,933 per 10 grams, and 18-carat at Rs 1,14,574 per 10 grams.
In New Delhi's bullion market, the last trading session saw gold decline by Rs 2,400, or 1.5 percent, settling at Rs 1,58,500 per 10 grams compared to the previous Rs 1,60,900. This downturn in spot trading contrasted with signals of renewed interest in futures markets.
MCX futures contracts for April delivery rose by Rs 1,044 to Rs 1,53,880 per 10 grams, indicating buying momentum. Globally, gold futures in New York gained 0.81 percent, closing at $4,962 per ounce, further supporting the elevated international outlook.
These developments reflect a broader trend where domestic gold prices have pulled back from January peaks while global prices hold firm, prompting traders to monitor geopolitical factors and economic indicators closely for future direction.
