“A bumper crop of ethics allegations in the current 119th Congress is contributing to record-low approval numbers for Congress this cycle. Already, three members of Congress have resigned this term. More need to go,” said former Congressman Jason Chaffetz. “Anytime you get 535 people together, somebody is going to be doing something stupid somewhere. But the public deserves faster, bolder action when their representatives behave badly. Delayed action undermines public trust.”

As a college kid in the 1960’s, and military B.R.A.T., I grew up thinking that our elected representatives stood for God, family, country and honor. As the Viet Nam War continued for 10 years, I discovered a bunch of liars, cheats and thieves in the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. I learned that the Military Industrial Complex got us into Nam, and kept us there because a whole bunch of munitions factories made a lot of money off our boys’ lives. I really haven’t trusted Congress since 1968.

While I took great pride in President Eisenhower, I learned very quickly that President John F. Kennedy cheated on his wife with a 19-year-old intern, as well as an affair with Marilyn Monroe. Heaven only knows how many other lovers he entertained. Of course, he wasn’t the first or last president to cheat on his wife. There’s a lot of sexual intrigue in Congress. As you know, there’s a “Congressional Sex Slush Fund” to cover the costs of representatives’ cheating on their wives, or assaulting their female staff members. Some reports show that fund paying out millions in court costs or paying off assaulted female staff members.

What’s more astounding stems from the fact that Congressional members siphon, embezzle and lie to gain more money for their bank accounts.

Florida Democratic Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick resigned moments before her expulsion hearing amid ethics probes as Florida GOP Rep. Cory Mills potentially faces his own expulsion vote. We’re talking lots of money, lots of scandal, lots of crime.

“Delayed action only fuels the perception that government is rigged and unresponsive. Approval ratings for Congress are in the basement, with Gallup’s April 2026 polling finding that just 10% approve while 86% disapprove. This is a direct threat to congressional legitimacy. Accountability must be real, not performative,” said Chaffetz.

Already, three House members have resigned — Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, D-Fla., and Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-Texas — but those resignations only came after intense public pressure, not through the routine process. Several more representatives continue to serve under a cloud of credible allegations.

Let’s face it, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi must be one of the biggest fraudsters in Congressional history. She made millions on insider defense contract trading. Let’s face it: thirty year member Maxine Waters, 40 year member Charles Schumer, and a slew of other “forever Congressional members” have been living off American taxpayers…while doing nothing to solve the dozens of problems facing the American taxpayer.

What are those problems? Answer: how about $38 trillion national debt. Congress created it. Congress won’t solve it. Congressional members couldn't care less that American taxpayers are getting busted down to the lowest common denominator.

Yet another problem: we’ve got over 25 million illegal aliens roaming around in America. They kill our wives, children and other citizens. They steal from us. They usurp our welfare systems. Our schools are being trashed along with our American students that can’t read or perform math at grade level. Let’s face it, the Somalia fraudsters, starting with Governor Tim Walz, stole over $19 billion in tax dollars. Every one of them should be deported, and Walz should be prosecuted because he did everything in his power to hide the fraud.
