IPL 2026 Playoff Scenarios For All Teams

GT: In all seasons in which the league has been played with 10 teams, no team has ever missed out after securing 16 points. Hence, the Gujarat Titans (GT) are unlikely to miss out even if they lose their remaining games. However, they need to win at least one more match to be safe.

RCB:With three matches left, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is also in a commanding position, and even one win could secure a spot for them, as they have an impressive Net Run Rate (NRR). Meanwhile, two wins in their remaining games will confirm their spot.

SRH: With two matches left, SRH needs at least one win to qualify. If they lose all their remaining matches, they will be dependent on a mathematical miracle.

PBKS: The Shreyas Iyer-led team has three matches left and is in a weird position because of one match being washed out, as their NRR is out of the equation. One win will only take them to 15 points, which might not be enough. The Iyer-led team needs at least two wins, and a scenario also exists where they might need to win all three games.

CSK And RR: The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) have three matches left and have 12 points on the board. The 2008 IPL finalist needs to win at least two of their remaining three games. Even in that situation, they could miss out and might need to win all three.
