The establishment is absolutely petrified of Reality star-turned-Los Angeles mayoral candidateSpencer Pratt. The thought of someone outside the appointed political class has all of the usual suspects panicking, especially big labor. Unions throw endless cash toward Democrat politicians at every level of government to make sure they keep getting a piece of the taxpayer pie.
The fullpolitical footprint of unions(including indirect spending) is around $1.8–2.5 billion range per cycle, with nearly all of it, 90–98%) benefiting Democrats at every level of government.
When theLos Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIOdecided to weigh in on the Los Angeles mayoral race, they probably thought their “LA Unions Opposed to Spencer Pratt for Mayor 2026” ad was going to have their desired effect of slamming Pratt for his positions.
Instead, it might have become one of the best pro-Pratt ads to date.
The ad begins, “Republican Spencer Pratt is the last thing Los Angeles needs for mayor.”
“Pratt opposes using taxpayer money to build brand new houses for unhoused neighbors, saying it’s time for the homeless to get help or get out.”
“Pratt thinks L.A. needs thousands more police officers rather than more social workers, and Republican Spencer Pratt thinks public employee unions should have less power, not more.”
“LA is on the right track and needs to stay the course. Vote no on Republican Spencer Pratt.”
LOL. This union-funded anti-Pratt ad could get him elected!pic.twitter.com/zVkZQsUkEV
