GMC has launched the GMC Hummer EV SUV in Korea, marking the first debut of the brand’s flagship all-electric SUV in the local market.
Built on General Motors' (GM) dedicated electric vehicle platform, the Hummer EV combines the rugged identity of the iconic Hummer brand with advanced electrification technologies, targeting consumers seeking both premium performance and outdoor versatility, the carmaker said.
The model is equipped with a dual-motor system producing 578 horsepower and offers a driving range of up to 512 kilometers on a single charge.
A key highlight is GMC’s electronically controlled four-wheel steering system designed to enhance maneuverability in both urban and off-road environments.
Other features, such as CrabWalk, allow the rear wheels to turn in the same direction as the front wheels at low speeds, enabling diagonal movement in tight spaces or rough terrain. King Crab mode further sharpens handling by increasing rear-wheel steering response for improved agility and precision during off-road driving.

The SUV also features an adaptive air ride suspension system with Extract Mode, which raises the vehicle height by approximately 149 millimeters to help navigate obstacles, such as rocks and deep water crossings.
For driver assistance, the Hummer EV SUV comes equipped with GM’s hands-free driving technology, Super Cruise, which can be used on approximately 23,000 kilometers of highways and major roads across Korea. The system supports lane-changing functions and adaptive distance control, while allowing hands-free driving when the driver remains attentive.
The SUV offers an 11-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.4-inch touchscreen display integrated with Korea-specific connectivity services, including the Tmap navigation app.
