In a swift clarification amid swirling rumors, Rajpal Yadav remains behind bars in Tihar Jail, as confirmed by his wife Radha Yadav. A viral video circulating online suggested the actor, famed for his comic roles in films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Hungama, and Bhagam Bhag, had been released, but Radha dismissed it as an old clip from 2018. Speaking to Bombay Times, she stated, "As of now, he is not out of Tihar Jail. The bail hearing is scheduled for Monday (February 16)." The actor surrendered to authorities following the rejection of his latest plea by the Delhi High Court in the long-standing cheque bounce case.

The troubles trace back to around 2010 when Rajpal Yadav and his wife borrowed approximately Rs 5 crore from a company to fund his directorial venture Ata Pata Laapata. The film's commercial failure left the couple unable to repay the loan, and several cheques issued for the amount were dishonoured, triggering legal action under the Negotiable Instruments Act. Accumulated interest and penalties have reportedly ballooned the outstanding debt to nearly Rs 9 crore.

Radha Yadav provided a brief update on her husband's condition, assuring, “He is okay, from what I understand.” She emphasized the family's unity during this ordeal, becoming emotional while discussing the support they've received. "Our whole family is together at this time and we are grateful for the support and love he is receiving from his fans and the film fraternity," she shared.

Reports have surfaced suggesting Bollywood heavyweights Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn have stepped in to offer financial assistance to the actor amid his legal battles. While Radha did not confirm specific names, she acknowledged that "many from the industry have extended support," highlighting a rare show of solidarity in the cutthroat world of cinema.

Rajpal Yadav, currently associated with the upcoming Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, has long been celebrated for his on-screen comic brilliance. However, his off-screen struggles underscore the precarious financial realities many artists face beyond the glamour of the spotlight. As the bail hearing looms on February 16, the focus remains on whether justice will finally allow the comedian a chance to return to what he does best.
