Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt shared an emotional Mother’s Day video highlighting the impactlosing his family home in the deadly Palisades Firehas had on him and his wife Heidi Montag.

The video, shared tohis account on X, opens with apocalyptic footage of the wildfire and transitions to the burned-out remains of their property, shows the family visiting what was once their home site.

“I think that they’re trying to have a good attitude about it,” Montag says in the video. “I was crying up there, but they were so happy to be home.”

Montag was referring to her young sons with Pratt, Gunner, 8, and Ryker, 3. In the video, she is seen visibly emotional, tearing up as she describes how it was her boys’ first time visiting the scene.

“I am constantly in awe of Heidi. She’s the most incredible mother to our boys,” Pratt says, wishing her a happy Mother’s Day.

Pratt announced his run for mayorjust one year after his home was destroyed in the fires, which burned more than 18,000 structures across the region. The former reality television star turned politician said he was frustrated with the city’s response and lack of support, which he says ultimately pushed him to enter the race andchallenge incumbent Mayor Karen Bass.

Pratt was widely viewed as a standout in the recent mayoral debate and is currentlypolling in second place, with roughly 40% of Los Angeles voters still undecided about who should lead City Hall.
