As fans and members of the film industry celebrated the actor-politician’s rise, actor Narain, Vijay’s co-star inJana Nayagan,shared his thoughts in an exclusive interaction with Times Now. Speaking about Vijay’s leadership, work ethic, and humility, Narain expressed happiness over his success and confidence in his future as a politician. He also opened up about Jana Nayagan and the recent leak controversy.
Narain Ram, who has been part of films such as Kaithi and Anjathe, shared his enthusiasm about Vijay’s victory. Asked about how he sees Vijay’s win, he said, “I would say this is new...and we are all very happy. In cinema, he is one of India’s biggest superstars. Now, when we saw him campaign with the same vigor and energy, it was amazing. It is the genuine love of people that has got him here. This is a golden age for the people of Tamil Nadu. Being a fan of his, and considering myself his younger brother, I am thrilled at his success.”

Ask how he feels about being part of Vijay’s last film, Jana Nayagan, he said, “I was very lucky to work with him in his last film. When I was with him, I could see that he focused all his energy on work. He would look calm and composed, and when there was a shot, he knew exactly what needed to be done and he would give it all. That focus and energy he has is a rare quality, and this will surely be there in him as a politician as well.”

He went on to say that Vijay, despite being a big star, made him feel at ease during the shoot. “There was a particular shot where I was set to perform with him, but ahead of it, he sensed I was nervous. So, he asked me to relax and take a breather. That shows his humility as an actor. He made sure I was feeling comfortable,” he said.
However, not all is well with Jana Nayagan. On the film front, Vijay’s upcoming film has suffered a major setback after the full version of the film leaked online ahead of its theatrical release. The action drama, believed to be Vijay’s swan song, first appeared online through clips before the complete version spread across piracy platforms and social media in early April.

Asked about the leak, Narain said, “It is unfortunate that it happened. But as they say, good things come to those who wait, so I am sure this film will be celebrated when it hits theatres.”
On the work front, Narain is currently working on Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Benz, which is connected to the LCU that features Vijay’s Leo and Kamal Haasan’s Vikram. Benz stars Raghava Lawrence in the lead role. Narain will also be seen playing an autistic person in an upcoming Malayalam film, apart from appearing in Vijay Sethupathi’s Train.
