National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-shik plans to visit the Netherlands and Kenya this week for talks on cooperation in semiconductors and other sectors, his office said Sunday.

Woo plans to depart the same day on a seven-day trip that will first take him to the Netherlands, where he will meet with the Dutch parliamentary leaders to discuss ways to expand cooperation, especially in the semiconductor industry.

The Netherlands is home to chipmaking equipment companies such as ASML, while South Korea is a leading chip manufacturer.

Woo will then travel to Kenya to meet President William Ruto, and discuss ways to expand trade and investment between the two countries.
