KINZINGER: “I think our country and this is to 2028 candidates, I’ll say this to our country is desperate for some version of aspiration and inspiration. I think it feels like a desert. And that’s no different among kids. Kids are sitting around, they hear the things we’re talking about. They they absorb some of the news and you look and you say, well, who are heroes is a hero. Donald Trump is a hero. Superman. What is it? And the truth is, heroes can be anything from somebody that is willing to give their life for a country. And I have a very personal story in this book. A friend of mine who did die fighting for this country all the way to somebody that’s just willing to put somebody else’s needs in front of their own. And I think it’s a message that kids desperately need."
