Gayathri Raguram has this advice to say to Thalapathy Vijay
While she remains hopeful about this, Gayathri says she will wait and watch to see what he can achieve in politics. “He has achieved a great number, but not majority. Getting this within a short time is not easy. But what is important is what he is going to do for Tamil Nadu. How will he get Tamil Nadu out of 10 lakh crore debt? How will he deliver the promises schemes?”

Vijay should not be compared to MGR says Gayathri Raguramm
Given her 13 years of experience in politics, Gayathri Raguramm believes that in order to connect more deeply with people, Vijay must shed his star persona. Asked whether she had any advice for him, she said: “I feel calling for alliance, he has been hasty. He must think well. Also, the PR group handling his work, have portrayed him as the next MGR, which is not right. MGR is MGR, and Vijay is VIjay. It is unfair to compare the two. One person's achievement is only his, one has to see that. Vijay also has to remember that he change replace the existing politics laid by CN Annadurai. He has to create his own path.”

While politics remains her primary focus, Gayathri Raguramm has stayed away from films in recent years. She clarified that she has not taken a break from cinema, but politics has consumed much of her time, especially in recent years when she has remained committed to working for the people. “Currently given that we belong to the opposition party, you are under scrutiny you must work. I am open to take up work in films as well but politics is my true calling.”
