AMMK chief T.T.V. Dhinakaran on Friday accusedTamilaga Vettri Kazhagam(TVK) of submitting a "forged xerox copy" of a support letter from AMMK MLA-elect Kamaraj to the Governor, escalating the already dramatic government formation battle in Tamil Nadu. Speaking to reporters, he asserted that the AMMK would now seek support from other parties and submit fresh documents before the Governor in an attempt to form the government.
"A letter was issued in support of TVK by my MLA Kamaraj. We are all shocked that I got an appointment with the Governor and I showed the real letter that I got from our CM candidate Edappadi Palaniswami... I came to know that TVK submitted a forged xerox copy of the letter and the Governor asked for the original one... This is forgery... We are going to file a criminal complaint now," Dhinakaran said.
"We will ask for support from other parties and file it before the Governor and form the government," he added.
However, in a sharp counter, TVK late Friday released a video purportedly showing Kamaraj personally writing the letter extending support to Vijay’s party, rejecting the AMMK’s allegations of forgery.
"These are the video visuals of AMMK MLA Kamaraj voluntarily and happily writing a letter expressing his support for the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. He had stated that he was extending support to the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam with the approval of AMMK General Secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran. However, the information now being spread that he did not write the letter is completely false and contrary to the truth," the TVK clarified.

"It is essential for everyone to clearly understand this. Concealing all these facts, T.T.V. Dhinakaran is continuing to spread false news and misinformation. The public should understand that the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam has no need to bargain or negotiate with anyone," it added.
TVK, which won 108 seats, has sought support from several smaller camps like the AMMK and VCK to touch the magical number of 118 seats in the 234-seat Assembly.
