The old Trump peace-mojo is back in the headlines.
While the US-Iran is ongoing, Donald J. Trump’s commitment to bringing peace to the world’s troubled regions continue unabated.
Today, rather surprisingly, Trump came out to with a Truth Social post in which he announces and celebrates a 3-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine that – he said – was agreed at his request.

This comes as the unilateral ‘truce’ proposed by Russia had begun but was not being respected, with Kiev regime leader Volodymyr Zelensky even threatening foreign dignitaries present at tomorrow’s May 9 ‘Victory Day’ parade at the red square in Moscow.
“I am pleased to announce that there will be a THREE DAY CEASEFIRE (May 9th, 10th, and 11th) in the War between Russia and Ukraine. The Celebration in Russia is for Victory Day but, likewise, in Ukraine, because they were also a big part and factor of World War II.
This Ceasefire will include a suspension of all kinetic activity, and also a prison swap of 1,000 prisoners from each Country. This request was made directly by me, and I very much appreciate its agreement by President Vladimir Putin and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Hopefully, it is the beginning of the end of a very long, deadly, and hard fought War. Talks are continuing on ending this Major Conflict, the biggest since World War II, and we are getting closer and closer every day. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP”
“President Donald Trump said Friday that the leaders of Russia and Ukraine have agreed to his request for a three-day ceasefire and an exchange of prisoners, adding that such a halt to hostilities could be the “beginning of the end” of the long war between them.
