The Manhasset Secondary School stage was transformed into a vibrant 1950s landscape on May 1 and 2 as middle school performers delivered a spirited run of the classic musical comedy “Bye Bye Birdie.” The production served as the grand finale of the 2025-26 school year, showcasing the immense talent and dedication of the theatre department while drawing enthusiastic crowds and standing ovations from the local community.
From the iconic opening notes of “Telephone Hour” to the high-energy choreography of “A Lot of Livin’ to Do,” the young cast and crew demonstrated a level of professionalism that resonated throughout the auditorium.
Beyond the performances, the production served as a testament to the school’s thriving performing arts program. Period-accurate costumes and detailed set design provided a polished backdrop for students to explore their creative interests and build confidence through the arts.
As the final curtain fell, the district celebrated not only a successful show, but the growth and achievements of every student involved in the process.
