She has endured the very worst of human cruelty and has never known what it feels like to be truly loved, yet rescuers remain hopeful that someone can finally transform onedog's life for the better.
Poor Litsaki, believed to be approximately one year old, was saved from a life of "hardship and uncertainty" in Greece.
Now, thecrossbreedis searching for a permanent home in the UK, where she can finally feel secure enough to allow her affectionate personality to flourish.
A statement from the rescue team at Greek Stray ResQ, who have been caring for her since she was saved, said: "This gentle girl has faced her fears head-on, emerging with a heart still open to love. Despite her past, Litsaki has an unwavering spirit that shines through her soft, calm demeanour."
Owing to the trauma therescue doghas endured, Litsaki still flinches at loud noises and sudden movements. Yet despite this, she continues to demonstrate remarkable trust towards those who approach her with gentleness and compassion.

The rescue noted that when someone strokes her softly, she closes her eyes — a subtle yet profoundly moving indication that she is gradually learning to feel safe once more.
They added: "This beautiful act of vulnerability is a testament to her strength and longing for connection."
