The LGBT Network will host its fourth annual North Fork Pride Parade and Festival in Greenport on Saturday, June 27, with this year’s event centered on LGBTQ+ visibility, mental health and community advocacy.

The parade steps off at noon at the intersection of Main and Broad streets and will proceed through downtown Greenport along Main Street before turning onto Front Street and ending near Mitchell Park. Organizers expect thousands of people to line the route in what they describe as a “vibrant display of love, unity and pride.”

The accompanying festival will run from noon to 5 p.m. along Front and Main streets and in Mitchell Park. The event will feature local businesses offering food, wine and beer, artisanal goods and community resource and information booths.

Organizers said parade participants will include marchers in rainbow colors and themed costumes, Pride floats, elected officials, families and community groups.

This year’s theme is “Unstoppable Pride.”

“The theme of this year’s Pride is ‘Unstoppable Pride,’ reflecting the continued strength, visibility, and resilience of our local LGBTQ+ communities at a time when LGBTQ+ people continue to be targeted in schools, legislatures, and courts and face renewed threats to healthcare access and safety,” organizers said in the announcement. “North Fork Pride sends a strong, unified message: We will not be silenced, and we will not be erased.
