All 22 Riverhead businesses checked during a police compliance operation targeting underage vape and tobacco sales were found in compliance, Riverhead Town Police said.
The checks were conducted Wednesday, May 6, by the Riverhead Police Department COPE Division in cooperation with the Riverhead Community Awareness Program, police said.
The operation targeted the sale of vape and tobacco products to people under the age of 21 at 22 retail establishments in Riverhead Town.
