Evacuee from cruise ship positive for hantavirus: Dutch hospital

A patient evacuated from the hantavirus-hit MV Hondius cruise ship hastested positivefor the disease, the treating Dutch hospital said on Thursday.

“The RIVM (Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment) has confirmed that the admitted patient has the hantavirus. The patient has been informed of this,” said the Radboud hospital.
