US Secretary of State Marco Rubio arrived at the Vatican on Thursday for talks with US-born Pope Leo XIV, following weeks of tensions between the Vatican and the White House.
AFP reporters saw Rubio’s motorcade driving up Via della Conciliazione — the grand avenue leading up to St Peter’s Basilica — before entering the Vatican City.
