RAMASWAMY: "Look, I think it’s friendly competition, Sean, and often imitation is the best form of flattery. Let’s start with getting the state to a zero income tax state. Bring down the property tax burden. By downsizing the overgrowth of bureaucracy and government, it’s time tested. It works. Put more money in the pockets of ohioans. Lower costs, bigger paychecks. Produce more energy. That brings down those electric bills. Cut the red tape that gets in the way of building more homes. That’s how we bring down the cost of housing, and make home ownership more affordable for the next generation. That’s not right versus left. It’s common sense and that’s what I stand for. I’m running against someone who unfortunately, Sean, if he comes anywhere near the levers of power, would become the first socialist to lead Ohio. We won’t let that happen. I’m confident we’ll win decisively but also confident we’ll have to work hard to get there. It was a great primary victory. Probably the largest primary victim margin in Ohio history. I’m proud to stand for the accomplishments that we see. Let’s see those. S&P 500 at an all-time high. Unemployment at a relative low. We don’t talk about these things enough. Around 4%. That’s where unemployment is right now. Do we have some work to do on bringing down electric bill and bringing down the cost of living in other areas? Absolutely. A lot of that can be done at the states. And what I’m aiming to do in Ohio is to make Ohio the state where the American dream is most affordable for everyone."
