South Korean international Lee Kang-in watched from the bench as his Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) held off countryman Kim Min-jae and Bayern Munich for a second consecutive trip to the UEFA Champions League final.

PSG played Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw in the second leg of the semifinals of the top European club competition at Allianz Arena in Munich on Wednesday (local time). PSG, having claimed the opening leg 5-4 at home last week, advanced to the final on a 6-5 aggregate.

As the defending champions, PSG will face the Premier League side Arsenal in the one-and-done final at Puskas Arena in Budapest at 6 p.m. May 30 (local time), or 1 a.m. May 31 (South Korean time).

PSG will try to become the first club to win consecutive UEFA Champions League titles since Real Madrid captured three in a row from 2016 to 2018.

Bayern were in pursuit of their seventh Champions League crown and their first since 2020.

Neither Lee nor Kim saw action in the opening leg. Lee remained glued to the bench in the second leg, while Kim was subbed in for Jonathan Tah in the 68th minute.

Ousmane Dembele, who had a brace for PSG in the first leg, got the ball rolling in the second leg by scoring in just the third minute.

Bayern kept knocking on the door but couldn't break through, and Harry Kane's stoppage-time equalizer wasn't enough to erase the aggregate deficit.

Lee, who has seen his role diminish with PSG this season, will try to become the first South Korean player to win multiple UEFA Champions League titles.
