In a shocking case on Valentine's day in Noida, a couple was reportedly found dead with gunshot injuries inside a parked car in sector 107 on Saturday (February 14). What was initially assumed to be a suicide, later turned out to be a murder-suicide case as the car was locked from inside. Moreover, now a note recovered from the man suggests that the incident was the result of romantic relationship between the two gone wrong.
Thebodies as per the police were found inside the carparked near pillar number 84 on Dadri Road under the limits of Sector 39 police station on Saturday morning. The man and the woman, believed to be a couple, were found inside the car with gunshot wounds to their heads.
According to preliminary investigation, it appeared that the man first shot the girl and then committed suicide by turning the pistol on himself. Senior police officials and a forensic team visited the scene, and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, police said.
What appears to be a What'sApp message, he said in Hindi, “I am going to die. Rekha is responsible for this. She lived with me for 15 years and promised that she would marry me, but now she is going to marry someone else. That is why I am committing suicide, because Rekha has betrayed me. Because of this, I am ending my life.”
According to police, the man, 31, is a resident of Trilokpuri in Delhi, while the woman is a 26-year-old resident of Sector 58 in Noida. Their families have been notified, officials said.
The couple had reportedly been missing from their homes since Friday and their families had filed missing persons report.
