Scott Ritter, the former UN weapons inspector, said in an interview Tuesday that despite the bluster from the Trump administration that the Iranian military was decimated in the latest war, the reality is the Pentagonaccomplished nothing.

Ritter toldJudge Andrew Napolitano’s Judgingthat the U.S.-Israeli attack in June 2025 gave the Iranians a preview of what to expect, so by 28 February 2026, there “was nothing of substance to be bombed.”

“We spent 40 days, basically emptying our arsenals and we accomplished absolutely nothing,” he said. “So why does anybody believe that we can suddenly get it right this time around?” he asked. “We don’t know what we’re bombing; we don’t know where things are; Pete Hegseth [War secretary] is just in the business of making things go ‘boom’ and declaring victory.”

TREND FORECAST:Trump’s comments about the Iran War are meaningless and the stalemate will likely continue, which brings with it the risk of a major escalation.

Gerald Celente said at the start of the war that the U.S. cannot defeat the Persians because Iran is a very advanced technologically, scientifically, and militarily. And since the United States has not won a war since WW II – and won it with the help of the Russians – and lost the Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghan wars, it is ridiculous to believe they can defeat Iran.
