JENTLESON: “Man, I don’t know. You know, it’s a good question because California, there are so many Democrats who hold elected office in California. And you would think that, you know, we should be able to produce some better quality candidates than what you saw on that stage. You know, we have an incredible bench. You look across the country, there are all these promising candidates everywhere. And yet, somehow, in this state that is sort of our bastion, our stronghold, we have produced this, this pretty questionable array of candidates. You know, you cannot blame the voters of California for sort of failing to consolidate behind anybody at this stage in the race, because nobody’s making a particularly compelling case. And I, you know, I hope that one of them — sometimes candidates seem weaker in an election and they prove to be effective governors once they get in office. I think that’s the best that we can hope for, for the people of the state of California right now.”
