During Tuesday night’s California gubernatorial debate, hosted by CNN, Democrat Katie Porter squirmed when confronted by a question about a profanity-laced video of her berating a staffer that went viral last year, as well as her recentcutting an interview short and stomping off.
During a 2021 Zoom call, Portershot her staffers death staresas they struggled with the lighting and lit into them.
“I need the lights off!” Katie Porter said. “The bright lights…I need you to turn these off.”
“These, that are killing me… not that dark!” she said.

Moderator Kaitlan Collins asked Democrat contender Antonio Villaraigosa about Porter’s temperament, “That highlighted your opponent here, Congresswoman Katie Porter, threatening to cut off an interview with a reporter.”
“That came after a video surfaced of her berating a member of her staff. If a senior official in your government acted as she did in those videos, would you fire them?”
