Iranian state media has issued a threatening message to Donald Trump over his ongoing efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Nour News, an outlet close to Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), warned the US President against making his "next mistake", as thiscould lead to "uncontrollable consequences".
It said in a post on social media platform X: "When you shift from 'piracy' to 'large-scale bombardment,' you have neither strategy nor authority. If the Strait of Hormuz were opento such nonsense, all these retreats wouldn't be happening. Your next mistake could have uncontrollable consequences."

This comes after Mr Trump threatened tobomb Iran "at a much higher level and intensity"if they break from the agreed terms to end the war.
Taking to his social media platform Truth Social, he said that if Iran "agrees to give what has been agreed to", which he describes as "a big assumption", then Operation Epic Fury will end.
Writing about the latest developments, Mr Trump added the US blockade would also "allow the Hormuz Strait to be OPEN TO ALL, including Iran".
He said: "Assuming Iran agrees to give what has been agreed to, which is, perhaps, a big assumption, the already legendary Epic Fury will be at an end, and the highly effective Blockade will allow the Hormuz Strait to be OPEN TO ALL, including Iran."
He added: "If they don’t agree, the bombing starts, and it will be, sadly, at a much higher level and intensity than it was before. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP."
His comments come just hours after Axios reported that the US and Iran were close to an agreement that would bring their two-month war to an end.
